Yo Ho, me Hearties... This is a tale of the adventures of a group of modern day Intercoastal Pirates. Not the marauding or pillaging kind, mind you, but a band of musical skaliwags that go from town to town along the Gulf Coast looking for fun and adventure. I came to be in the company of this motley crew when I was bewitched by the First Mate's serenading some years ago. He began to keep company with these Intercoastal Pirates some time after that, and before I knew it, he was a full-fledged Pirate himself. Not that I mind it... a little swashbuckling never hurt anyone! It will be my duty to chronicle their adventures, journeys to distant waters, and all the fun along the way.

Spending a little time with Clint...

We pirating types spend a lot of time stirring up the populace to partying and having a great time, but every now and then we like to lay back a bit and let someone else do the merry-making.

Last night we went to spend some time with Clint Black, a naturalized Texan claimed from the deep dark backwoods of New Jersey, who made his way initially right here in the greater Houston area. Clint did a rousing set of classics and new songs coming from his soon-to-be-released album. Sounding like the star he is, he also played a mean guitar, harmonica, and even did the Steely Dan tune "Josie" on drums. Quite the all around musician.

It was a great night, and as you can see, our master of the soundboard Jason got a little mug time in with Mr B. Great memories for him (along with a signed guitar) and a good time for all that were on hand. A tip of the pirate hat, and on to the next show.

Come on and see us in West Columbia this weekend... back to school!
